Errorbic is homonym combining the words error and Arabic to make Errorbic. When Errorbic is said it sounds like Arabic, hence the word “Errorbic”.

Why Errorbic? |
|
|
|
The creators of Errorbic.com saw so many funny signs and writings while traveling throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). After seeing so many funny signs they had to create a website to showcase these images and writings.

Yes the images and writings are real (as far as we know). They are not modified other than cropping to reduce size.

When did you start Errorbic.com? |

The concept was formed in 2008 and the website launched in 2009. We just want to have fun with the English grammatical errors and “lost in translation” phrases. We mean no harm, disrespect or ill will towards any peoples, cultures, religions, languages, animals, signs, images or writings.

Errorbic.com doesn’t mind if you post a few photos here and there on your blog or website but please keep the Errorbic.com watermark that shows where you got the image or writing so that we get credit for it. At the same time don’t steal the whole Errorbic.com website content and call it your own. That just aint right!

Errorbic.com uses only original samples of Errorbic either sent in by individuals or found by our staff for use on Errorbic.com. As far as we know we are the only such website that showcases Errorbic at this time. Yes some images could have come from other websites or blogs and there are similar websites such as Engrish.com (Japanese version). Errorbic.com will never knowingly take any images or content from other websites. As far as we know we are the original and only Errorbic website.

How can you make fun of others grammar mistakes? |
|

Please remember that the point of Errorbic is to have fun and harmlessly enjoy funny images and writings. Our intent is not to criticize, mock or ridicule others lack of understanding of English. We take care not to make fun of persons or use a discriminatory tone to mock innocent mistakes. Many times the Errorbic images and writings are used as design element only and have no real meaning other than just having English words in the design. There are so many small businesses and it’s hard for the owners to come up with a truly original name or phase. Other times the designers haven’t made attempts to find the correct spelling or western meaning. If Errorbic.com gets too many complaints for any image or writing we will change or remove it from the website

I submitted my own Errorbic some time ago but it is nott on the website, why not? |

There are two reasons why your own Errorbic submission did not get posted to the website. First, we get so many submissions to Errorbic.com that it can take considerable time before we can review all of them. Another reason is your submission is not that humorous or it has previously been submitted by someone else. Sorry but not all submissions are added to the website, but do not give up and keep them coming because you never know if yours will make it on the website.
